More on their way
From a blank page to a finished paper, in three steps.
▶1 · Practise on questions written to the syllabus.
Each chapter has dozens of exercises, with worked solutions and explanations that read like a patient tutor. No guessing whether the question is in scope.
- Structured, multi-part, MCQ, with diagrams
- Full worked solution on every question
- Explanations across three reader voices
- Adaptive targeted practice on your weak topics

▶2 · Track mastery, chapter by chapter.
Every answer feeds a visible map of where you are confident and where you still drift. The platform sends you back to the right chapter, automatically.
- Mastery breakdown: Per chapter, per concept
- Adaptive targeting: Practice your weakest first
- Honest signal: No badges for nothing
- Visual history: See growth over weeks

▶3 · Sit a full paper.
Original practice papers across the current syllabus series, written to the same learning objectives and marked the same way. Auto marked, with worked solutions on every question. Timed sessions coming soon.

Fifteen to twenty minutes a day, every day.
Streaks, XP, leagues. Not arcade noise, just enough rhythm so practice becomes habit. Pick up the phone in the bus queue.
Quiet oversight, not surveillance.
A weekly digest of what they worked on, where they got stuck, and how long they spent. Enough to ask the right question on Sunday.
The parent portal shows linked children, weekly study time, weak areas, topic mastery, and current streaks. Self serve, no extra cost.

Why this exists.
We are not quoting other people about our product yet. We just launched. Here, instead, is one honest paragraph from the founder.
“I have spent years inside the education space, much of it as a music teacher, close enough to every kind of learner to see what helps students move forward and what holds them back. What lights me up is watching a learner achieve more than they thought they could, and the only way that keeps happening at scale is if the tools they use keep up with the way technology is changing. The Practice Book is built on that belief: original questions, honest feedback, and a platform that meets a student where they are. It is free while we grow because the only way to know if it is good enough is to put it in front of every student who needs it.”
If you find a question that is unfair, a chapter that is thin, or a translation that is off, write to us. We read every message.
Just launched: We are in launch. Try the full product free while we grow. When students are happy enough to recommend us, we will quote them here. Until then, the only thing worth showing is the product. Send feedback to hello@thepracticebook.org, we read all of it.
Practice on any device.
The Practice Book runs on the web, on iOS, and on Android. Same account, same progress, same questions, whichever you open.
Every feature is on every platform. The app is not a stripped-down version of the website.

Free for everyone, no signup.
Long-form study guides, parent walkthroughs, and printable cheat sheets. Read freely, link them to your students, use them at home.
Free during launch.
Right now, everything is free. When we introduce paid plans, parents will pay and students will keep learning. No surprises.
Things parents and students ask us first.
▶Which qualifications are covered?
Today we cover IGCSE Maths (syllabus 0580, both Core and Extended) and A Level Maths (syllabus 9709, both AS and A2). IGCSE Physics 0625 is on the roadmap.
▶Do you have a web version?
Yes. The Practice Book runs as a full web app and as native iOS and Android apps, with feature parity across all three.
▶How is this different from a textbook?
Active, not passive. You practise on original questions written to the published syllabus, get instant worked solutions, and the platform tracks which topics still need work.
▶Is the free version really free?
Yes, while we are in launch. The whole product is unlocked with no card on file. When pricing changes we will give you 30 days notice.
▶Can parents track progress?
The parent portal at /parent shows linked children, weekly study time, weak areas, topic mastery, and current streaks. Self serve, no extra cost.
▶Are you affiliated with the exam boards?
No. The Practice Book is an independent study platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any exam board. Syllabus codes are referenced for descriptive purposes only.
