The Practice Book

    About The Practice Book

A gamified IGCSE and A-Level Maths app aligned with the Cambridge CAIE syllabi — available on iOS, Android, and the web.

    Our mission

Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics determine where a student goes to university and what they can study when they get there. For too many families, the gap between the syllabus and the available study materials is filled with expensive tutoring, outdated textbooks, or unstructured YouTube videos.

The Practice Book exists to close that gap. We map every learning objective in the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 and Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics 9709 syllabi to curriculum-aligned practice questions, textbook-depth notes written for three ability levels, spaced-repetition flash cards, and timed past-paper-style exam simulations — all in one app, free to start, no credit card required.

    What we cover

    Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580

    Both Core (Papers 1 & 3) and Extended (Papers 2 & 4) routes — syllabus 2025–2027.

Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics 9709

    Pure Mathematics 1, 2, 3 (P1, P2, P3); Mechanics 1 (M1); Probability & Statistics 1 and 2 (S1, S2) — syllabus 2026–2027.

The Practice Book is an independent educational platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) or Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

    How it works

    • Curriculum-mapped questions — every learning objective, every chapter, with step-by-step worked solutions.
    • Textbook-depth Detailed Notes — each chapter written in three persona variants (Struggling, Mid-range, Overachiever).
    • Summary notes & flash cards — for last-minute recall and spaced repetition.
    • Past-paper-style exam simulations — timed, with mark schemes and grade boundaries.
    • Targeted & dynamic exercises — drill weak areas; the system re-weights toward what you got wrong.
    • Topic mastery analytics — % mastery per learning objective, weakness identification, performance trends.
    • Gamification — XP, daily streaks, daily quests, weekly leagues, leaderboards.
    • Parent dashboard — read-only progress monitoring linked to a child's account.

    Who we serve

    • Students aged 13–19 preparing for Cambridge IGCSE or A-Level Mathematics.
    • Home-schooled and self-directed learners studying without a tutor.
    • Parents monitoring exam preparation progress.
    • Tutors looking for syllabus-aligned practice material for their clients.

The interface is available in English, French, German, and Spanish. Questions and notes can be cached for offline study.

    Who builds it

The Practice Book is built and maintained by Million Little Company. We're a small team of engineers, content authors, and former Cambridge students writing the resource we wish we'd had during our own exams.

Every chapter's notes, every worked solution, and every exam simulation is reviewed against the published Cambridge syllabus and past-paper mark schemes before it ships.
